Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix is dealing with some difficult emotions after Bethenny Frankel interviewed her former co-star Raquel Leviss on her podcast, Just B with Bethenny Frankel, and shared her own take on Scandoval. Bethenny, who's well known for not caring what others think about her opinions, shared several clips from the interview on social media supporting Raquel.
Though Bethenny hasn't been on a Bravo reality TV since 2018, she stays well-versed in the world of Bravo scandals and shares her thoughts about them on her podcast. While she's spoken about Vanderpump Rules and Scandoval throughout the last several months, her sit-down with Raquel was unprecedented.
Ariana explained that she "did not listen but did read synopses" of the interview on a recent episode of Scheananigans With Scheana Shay, but has been hurt by what she's read from Bethenny's interview and social media posts surrounding it. "[She] should have known better," Ariana said, when Scheana asked about Bethenny interviewing Raquel.
"Bethenny actually upset me more in the things that were said...[she doesn't] know what the f*** she's talking about." Scheana, who was personally impacted on several levels by Scandoval, went on to explain that Bethenny, should've done "more research" when it came to interviewing Raquel.
Ariana Say's Bethenny Doesn't Understand The Situation
One of Bethenny's main criticisms of Ariana's reaction to Scandoval was the fact that she and Tom Sandoval weren't married at the time of his affair. Bethenny felt it wasn't as bad as it could've been if there was a marriage or children involved.
Ariana took the comments personally, explaining, "In many states [we were common law spouses]...I find that hurtful in regards to other women in relationships who don’t have children. Maybe they can’t have children or don’t want children or don’t want to get married." Ariana said "[Bethenny] should know better than to say that" and that relationships "are[n't] less meaningful" if they lack marriage or children.
While Ariana was likely unfazed by the fact that Raquel was appearing on Bethenny's podcast, it got more personal as the host dug deeper. For Ariana, Bethenny's comments surrounding her relationship with Tom and the fact that the affair was somehow less hurtful because it didn't have a legal marriage at the core are the most hurtful.
To insinuate that Ariana's feelings were less compounded after a decade long relationship ended in what many would consider the ultimate betrayal is harsh, and Bethenny didn't mince words when it came to her opinion. Rather than taking Ariana's feelings into consideration, she ensured that Raquel was shown in a better light.
The fact that many are still dwelling on the rights and wrongs of Scandoval is a great sign for the upcoming season of Vanderpump Rules. As Vanderpump Rules season 11's filming schedule comes closer to its end, viewers are beginning to get excited about what's on the horizon for the cast in the new episodes. While Raquel won't be featured on the series in the newest season, it's a safe bet that Vanderpump Rules will address her departure while taking Ariana's feelings into consideration, unlike Bethenny.
