The Queen's Gambit actress, 27, and the musician, 29, tied the knot over the weekend in Venice, Italy, according to the Daily Mail, which obtained photos of the wedding.

The pair reportedly wed at the historic Palazzo Pisani Moretta, before celebrating with friends and family at their reception. In photos from the festivities, Taylor-Joy can be seen standing on a balcony in a long veil, and a custom Dior gown decked out with floral embellishments and a bird.

During the weekend affair, the bride's famous friends including Miles Teller, Julia Garner, Cara Delevingne, Nicolas Hoult and Evan Ross were in attendance to celebrate the couple's big day.

Following their nuptials, a source tells PEOPLE that the newlyweds enjoyed a terrace brunch on Sunday at the St Regis, which looks out onto the Grand Canal. "She was a vision," adds the source of Taylor-Joy.

Taylor-Joy first met McRae at the Queen's Gambit premiere in March 2021. Two days after they connected, the musician wrote an original song for the actress and shared clips of him singing it.“I wrote this song for Anya two days after meeting her," he explained in the post's caption at the time. "It’s called ‘Really Want to See You Again.’”

"I know that I'm high now, but I've gotta get this out," McRae sang in the video. "I think we're alike in ways that I can't quite explain right, but I might, could with some time. If ever we were in the same place. I want what's right, but I want without warning now, and I think we're wanting something the same."

I see reading as something that I have to do. He loved it because he's the same," she continued. "We're basically 80 years old and 7 at the same time, and it works really well."

Taylor-Joy told British Vogue that she prefers being in a relationship rather than being a part of the dating scene. "I was not a good dater and I'm quite glad to not be," she said. "I hear stories from my friends and I'm like, 'God, I would suck at that.'"
