The zombies in France: You have to know that about the biting

If you have seen neither "The Walking Dead" nor "The Walking Dead: World Beyond" (in the stream at Amazon Prime Video), you have to know a lot about the undead: First, you will never be called zombies in the franchise, but mostly to the bite (in English "Walker"). In addition, the zombie virus is already in every person.

In plain language means: After their death, all people on earth transform into a biter - regardless of whether you were bitten or scratched by an undead. The bite or scratch of a zombie only accelerates the death process.

However, the prerequisite is that the bloodstream has been attacked. However, there is the possibility of escaping death despite bite or scratches. To do this, the affected part of the body must be amputated.

In order to kill the bite, their brain must be put out of action or destroyed, for example by head shot or the stab of a knife. That is why people who died by the violation of the brain are not the only exception to an undead.

"The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" shows us the outbreak of apocalypse in France. Since experiments on zombies were increasingly carried out in Europe, there are other, far more dangerous variants of undead than in the USA:

Große demolition: Who is Daryl Dixon?

Daryl Dixon is a survivor of the zombie apocalypse in "The Walking Dead". Although he was one of the few characters who did not appear in the comic template to move into the series, he was an important part of the story from season 1 until the end of the series.

First, he showed himself as a rebellious and unruly ally, who, together with his older brother Merle (Michael Rooker), was only able to survive because of the group around Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal), Lori Grimes (Sarah Wayne Callies) and Co.

After Daryl had clashed several times because of Merle's behavior with leader Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), he recognized what true loyalty means and chose friendship with relatives. Over the years, he built up a close relationship with Rick and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride).

After Rick's disappearance in "The Walking Dead" season 9, Daryl turned away from his community to live in the wilderness and to look for indications of the whereabouts of his closest confidante. He also turned Carol's back, which did not want to put up with this fate and convinced Daryl from where he really belongs.

During the months of his absence, Daryl met for the first time a woman who conquered his heart: Leah (Lynn Collins). As it turned out, however, it belonged to a hostile camp and fell into the back. Since then, Daryl has not led a romantic relationship with another figure.

The Walking Dead ”stars in real life: This is how the actors really look

After his best friend Rick had disappeared without a trace in season 9 and his beloved Michonne (Danai Gurira) had searched for him in season 10, Daryl took a kind of parenting role for Judith (Cailey Fleming) together with Carol 11 in season 11 Daughter of Rick and Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies), and RJ Grimes (Antony Azor), biological son of Rick and Michonne. Especially in the war against the hostile Commonwealth, Daryl saw it as his duty to protect the children.

Over the years, however, the pain for Rick's disappearance did not decrease. With the growth of Judith and RJ, the urge to bring the parents back to the offspring. After the victory over Pamela Milton (Laila Robins) and taking over the safe walls of the Commonwealth, Daryl decided to go in search of Rick and Michonne - much to the displeasure of Carol, who feared never to see him again.

Daryl's happy ending: This quote is von great importance

When Judith, RJ and Carol said goodbye, Daryl promised to bring the missing person back home if he should encounter clues. Judith then replied to him:

"Daryl? You also deserve a happy ending. "

You should definitely keep this quote in mind, because in "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" it becomes a kind of mantra for the title hero that keeps him alive in threatening situations. Not only does Judith make it clear to know about the inner tornness of Daryl at her young age, she also wishes her father back to see Daryl again with his best friend.

After this sentence, Daryl promised to return, which Judith did not question. Daryl's will to live adheres to this pact, which decreases one or the other decision in the spin-off. So he goes into unexpected alliances to find a way from France back to the USA.

The eleventh season of the mother series ends how we (and carol) see Daryl on his motorcycle. This mobile pedestal was one of his favorites from the start and will play an important role in the course of the first season of "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon". In terms of weapons, on the other hand, the survivor swears by noiseless instruments such as knives and crossbow.

You don't really need much more basic knowledge to be able to follow the offshoot around Daryl Dixon, because many details are explained again in the series or at least briefly torn down. Since "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" also plays geographically far away from Daryl's homeland, the new zombie title results in a fresh story that (at least in season 1) can be very good for itself.
