The actor and West End star missed out on lifting the coveted shiny trophy back in December with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin
Layton Williams has been seen cosying up to a Glitterball trophy after a delayed Strictly Come Dancing win. The actor and West End star missed out on lifting the coveted shiny trophy back in December when he made it to the final of the competition with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin.
The pair faced Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola and Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell in the spectacular final of the BBC One dance show on December 16. After three dances each, it was Layton and Nikita who emerged top of the leaderboard with a string of perfect scores from the judges.
However, it wasn't meant to be as following the public vote, which the final results was based on, it was former Coronation Street star Ellie who emerged victorious alongside professional pro Vito. And the win made history as at the age of 22, Ellie became the youngest-ever winner of Strictly.

But despite not winning the competition, Layton and Nikita have been making up for it on the show's live tour which saw them reunite with a number of their Strictly 2023 co-stars including Ellie, Vito, Bobby and Dianne as well as Angela Rippon, Angela Scanlon, Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Annabel Croft and the show's team of talented dancers.
After three weeks of performing in nine different cities up and down the country, the string of live shows came to an end on Sunday night (February 11) at London's O2 Arena and backstage, with Layton and Nikita getting their 19th win of the tour which sees audience members vote for their winners during each show.
EastEnders star Bobby and Dianne finished runners-up with 9 out of 31 show wins while Ellie and Vito finished in third place with three wins despite finishing the 21st series of Strictly on top.
But Layton, 29, appeared lost for words after he and Nikita were presented with their own Glitterball trophies to mark them winning the most shows on the 2024 live tour. He simply took to X, formerly known as Twitter, with a red love heart while he was also seen cuddling up to the trophy once back at home as he posed for a mirror selfie.
Tour host Janette Manrar also shared a picture of the pair with their Glitterball trophies and a video of them being presented with them. She said on Instagram: "Congratulations to @laytonwilliams & @nikita__kuzmin for being our @strictlycomedancinglive tour winners!! All the love is out there and we are here for it."
And while Layton may have kept his first message simple while he digested the news and the end of the tour, the Bad Education star's fans and followers were in full voice as they expressed their pride and delight.
