Death in Paradise fans have been coming up with their own theories ever since Camille Bordey (played by Sara Martins) made a return to the BBC series last weekend. Florence Cassell's (Josephine Jobert) face also appeared after Neville Parker (Ralf Little) looked at a photo of his former colleague.
This led fans to theorise that Florence could make a return, and one even suggested she and Neville could romantically reunite and leave Saint Marie together, but who could replace the detective?
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter to share their thoughts, @PaldeanRTT shared: "Feel like the Florence picture at the end of the episode means she's coming back for an ep or two and then leaving... with Neville. New DI? #DeathInParadise."
@NicholasDurham went on: "Ahhh great to see Camille and Florence (briefly!) Showing the history of the show is definitely when it’s at its best #DeathInParadise." (sic)
"What a wonderful 100th episode!! Loved seeing Camille and glad Selwyn is ok!! Also it really broke me when Neville got out the picture of Florence #DeathInParadise," @SillyGooseBenji beamed as @linzirob agreed: "We’re ALL interested in life on the island especially if Florence may still be part of it in #DeathInParadise." (sic)
In an Instagram Q&A, Ralf Little addressed his replacement as Neville Parker and who he'd want to take his place as the lead detective if he did choose to leave.
"I don't know," Ralf admitted. "I have no idea, I'm not gonna swerve answering the question. I don't know. I don't know which direction they're gonna go in.
"I have honestly no idea and they haven't told me, maybe they had no idea yet.
"But I like the rest of you are going to be just sitting and asking, 'Who's next?' Who knows? No idea. But we'll see what happens."
