What else would you expect from a 13-year-old?
At this point, it's very likely that there are no Young Sheldon fans watching the show for Sheldon himself. With the show so heavily focused on Cooper's family life, there's no better way to steal the spotlight from the titular character and spread the fanbase's love to all the other members of the family.
From Meemaw to George, Georgie to Missy, Sheldon and his mother Mary seem to be the least popular characters at the moment. But don't be too quick to feel sorry for them: Sheldon's twin sister Missy quickly joins them, losing any sympathy she once had from fans.
While some believe that Missy has been completely ruined by the writers in the last season, others aren't ready to rush and make anything out of a few tantrums we've seen on our screens. Missy has become louder, more needy, and more demanding of those around her. Her attitude has changed, and many see her now as a spoiled and rude child, as opposed to who she was before.
But what the majority seems to forget is this: Missy is now a teenager.
Dealing with all the hormones, emotions, and physical and mental changes that come with being 13 isn't easy. Add to that the daily struggles of her dysfunctional family, and it's even harder. Throw in a special needs twin brother who gets all the family's attention, and you've got abandonment issues. From what viewers saw of an adult version of Missy in the original The Big Bang Theory, she doesn't stay in that snarky mood forever.
She's sympathetic to all of Sheldon's friends, she's funny and witty, and everyone enjoys being around her. If that's not a sign that all the rudeness is just a phase, we don't know what is.
