"Welcome to Wrexham: Ryan Reynolds' Immense Pride as Major Award Nomination Follows Emmys Triumph!"

One doesn’t need to highlight the success of Welcome to Wrexham. The popular documentary on the Welsh soccer team has certainly captured the hearts of fans, recently winning the coveted 2023 Emmy Awards. Just when the accolades seemed to reach a crescendo, news breaks that the series has garnered yet another nomination for a major award, prompting Ryan Reynolds to extend a ‘huge thanks.’

Welcome to Wrexham continues win awards, as they just won’t be settling with the Emmys. Just hours ago, the club’s co-owner and Hollywood superstar, Ryan Reynolds, announced that the documentary has been nominated for the 2024 Producers Guild of America (PGA) Awards in the ‘Outstanding Producer of Non-Fiction Television’ category. Speaking of the achievement on his X account, he couldn’t hide his happiness.

At the Emmys, they received commendations for Outstanding Direction, Cinematography, Picture Editing, and Sound Mixing. Nevertheless, the whole production team, including McElhenny and Dewey, will be hoping to win the award. So will be Reynolds; otherwise, failure of it may force him to channel his inner Deadpool and send a notice to PFA, just like he did to the Oscars.

Deadpool sent a warning to the Oscars after Welcome to Wrexham won the Emmys

The owners of Wrexham created a humorous one-minute video to make up for their inability to attend the Emmys. McElhenney expressed his happiness, but Reynolds intervened, wearing a Deadpool mask and clutching the Emmy, claiming that ‘Mr. Lively’ had dispatched Deadpool to pick up the ‘broken Emmys.’ He sent a ‘love you’ message to Wrexham and thanked the soccer team for sharing their experience.

Relieved not to have to go to the Emmys with ‘real celebrities,’ Reynolds thanked Disney, FX, and the Academy. “Mr. Lively promises not f**k up my next movie. Lastly, the Oscars. You’re on notice, m**********rs. Maybe we can get a token VFX nod next year. The amount of work on Hugh and Ryan’s face alone is at least worth a nod,” concluded Reynolds. Let’s see what kind of reaction Reynolds and McElhenney have if they win the PFA.
