"Ryan Reynolds Unleashes Jurassic Fun: Dinosaurs and the Savage Land in Deadpool 3?"

A new teaser posted by Ryan Reynolds as one of his Instagram stories has set off all the alarms among Marvel fans and those who eagerly await ‘Deadpool 3′. The Canadian actor suggests that the third Merc with a Mouth movie will visit the Savage Land, a classic comic book location from the ‘X-Men’ and other Marvel comics which stands out for hosting dinosaurs and other extinct life forms in modern times.

Ryan Reynolds is very given to trolls of all kinds on the internet, this being a way to embrace Marvel’s Deadpool character. In a recent story uploaded to his Instagram we can see a very peculiar photo. Two chairs with the names of the characters of Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson) and Hugh Jackman (Logan) in the ‘Jurassic Park’ font, and with a background with leafy vegetation as if it were a jungle.

These two clues seem to imply that in ‘Deadpool 3′ there will be dinosaurs, and seems to be a good lore-friendly way to introduce these creatures into the MCU, ever since their first appearance in 1965 in the comics.

What is Marvel’s Savage Land?

The Savage Land is a fictional remote area located in Antarctica. It’s a hidden tropical reserve that houses life forms extinct in the rest of the world such as dinosaurs. Savage Land has appeared in several ‘X-Men’ story arcs since its first appearance in ‘The X-Men #10′ in March 1965. This territory was the product of the alien Nuwali at the request of the omnipotent Beyonders.

They asked him to build an enclosure in which to observe the evolution of various creatures in relatively controlled environments and conditions during the Triassic period of our planet. Although the “experiment” was abandoned, Alien weather control technology continued to function, allowing creatures like dinosaurs to stay alive all the way to the present.

The Savage Land has been used in many Marvel stories, especially the X-Men. Deadpool himself has visited this territory “lost in time” on some occasions. (’Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth #1-5′), and there he is venerated as a deity by local primitive humans, who even build a huge statue of him.
