Hallmark Channel’s longest-running original series ended Season 10 on a cliffhanger. Thankfully, we now know when the eleventh season, which Hallmark notes will bring “many changes and surprises,” debuts on the network.
The forthcoming 12-episode season will center on Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) embarking on a fresh start, complete with “new romance, new challenges, and new style.” Per Hallmark, she and Mountie Nathan Grant “navigate their growing romantic feelings while also leaning on each other for support as they face new parenting obstacles.”
“If there’s anything we can take away from the success of When Calls the Heart, it’s that these stories, these characters, and essentially their lives, is that they resonate and they matter deeply to so many of our viewers,” Executive Vice President of Programming Lisa Hamilton Daly said in a statement. “Eleven seasons is a celebration of the kind of heartwarming content that we strive to bring to the fans every year.”
