"Generational Talent: Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor Credits Corrie Star Mum for Inspiration

Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor has spoken about her relationship with her mum, Coronation Street's Sally Dynevor.

Phoebe has revealed that she and her mum manage to keep things "pretty separate" and they rarely discuss their professional endeavours.

"We actually, weirdly, keep ourselves pretty separate, we are doing such different things in the industry, but we all do follow by example," Phoebe told Hello! magazine on the red carpet of the BAFTA Tea Party in Los Angeles.

"But I have always looked up to my mum and how she navigates being on a soap for so many years, and I think my sister does the same with me, hopefully!" the Fair Play actress continued.

Phoebe shot to fame playing Daphne in the first season of Shonda Rhimes-produced Bridgerton in 2020. Season 1 focused on Daphne's relationship with the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). She briefly returned for season 2 and is expected to appear in some capacity in season 3, to be released later this year.

Sally debuted on Corrie in 1986 in the role of Sally Metcalfe, currently being one of the longest-serving actors of the ITV soap.

Acting skills run in the family, as Phoebe's younger sister Hattie now stars in the revival of Waterloo Road as Libby Guthrie, whilst Phoebe was on the cast of the same series between 2009 and 2010.

Finally, Phoebe's father Tim is an Emmerdale screenwriter, and her paternal grandparents Shirley and Gerard Dynevor also worked in television. Phoebe also has a younger brother, Samuel.

After featuring in drama Fair Play from director Chloe Domont, Phoebe will next be seen in spy movie The Inheritance and star-studded thriller Anniversary opposite Diane Lane, Kyle Chandler and Zoey Deutch.
