"The Batman 2: Robert Pattinson's Batsuit Levels Up to Face Mr. Freeze in Striking Art"

Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne gets a much-needed upgrade to his Batsuit as he gets ready to fight Mister Freeze in The Batman - Part II fan art.

SUMMARY

  •  The Batman - Part II might feature Mister Freeze as the main villain, according to fan art depicting Robert Pattinson in a new batsuit.
  •  The actual villain for The Batman - Part II is still unknown, with speculation around Clayface, Scarecrow, and the Court of Owls.
  •  The expectations for the sequel are high after the success of The Riddler as a formidable foe, and fans eagerly await clues about the sequel's storyline.

New The Batman - Part II fan art shows what a potential Batsuit upgrade could look like for Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight if he takes on the DC foe Mister Freeze. 2022 was just the beginning for Pattinson's Caped Crusader, as The Batman reimagined the iconic DC hero for a new Elseworlds movie franchise.

Following its critical and commercial success, The Batman - Part II is on its way as Matt Reeves is expanding the universe, including spinoff projects across TV and film.

While The Batman - Part II cast were supposed to start filming this month, the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes have delayed production, leaving the world having to wait a bit longer to learn what the sequel will focus on.

As the DC audience speculates who will be the new villain in The Batman - Part II, Erathrim shared artwork depicting Pattinson with a new batsuit, for one very specific antagonist.

In this scenario, Victor Fries, a.k.a. Mister Freeze, is imagined as the main villain for The Batman - Part II. The last time Mister Freeze showed up in live-action was in the Batman prequel show Gotham, where he was played by Nathan Darrow, while Arnold Schwarzenegger portrayed him on the big screen in 1997's Batman & Robin.

Who Is The Actual Villain In The Batman - Part II?

With Batman's rogue's gallery being one of the biggest ones in DC Comics, the question of who will actually be the Dark Knight's next antagonist is certainly one with a lot of potential.

Despite the fact that The Batman introduced Barry Keoghan as The Joker, Reeves has previously shared that the Clown Prince of Crime being in the 2022 installment wasn't necessarily meant to set up a future story. While Joker may or may not show up in The Batman - Part II, it doesn't seem like Reeves is rushing to make him a main antagonist just yet.

Over the last few months, there have been rumors and reports about Clayface and Scarecrow potentially being the antagonists for The Batman - Part II, although nothing has been confirmed nor denied at this point.

Throughout The Batman press tour, the Court of Owls were also mentioned numerous times as villains that the cast would love to see in a sequel. With The Riddler being the first villain in The Batman, it would make sense if the main threat in the sequel was also someone who hasn't really been properly explored before on the big screen.

With The Batman universe already having taken refreshing approaches with their villains, it will be exciting nonetheless to see who Reeves goes with for his next story. Needless to say, the expectations are definitely high, as The Riddler was constructed in a way that made him a formidable foe to Bruce.

Hopefully, if the SAG-AFTRA strike ends anytime soon, The Batman - Part II will be able to get into production sometime in 2024, and finally drop some clues on what is in store for the sequel.
